RokFort Temple
The most interesting object in the city of course the Rock. It raises abruptly from the plain to a height of 83 metres and it is considered to be one of the oldest rock specimens in the world. On top of the rock is placed beautiful temple of Lord Ganesha and it is a rare testimony of rock cut and cave temples belonging to the school of pallava Architecture. It gives a breath taking view of the city from the top of the hillock and from the corridors of Uchipillayar Kovil.
